HAPPY SCHOOL PEACE DAY 2019!

"School Day of Non-violence and Peace" is observed on 30th January on the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi, a facifist from India, in schools all over the world.

Last Thursday, we made this beautiful mural at school and we released two doves.

This story is based on one of Aesop's Fables. These are a collection of short stories, told in Greece about 4,000 years ago. The stories always have a moral (a message or lesson) at the end. The moral of this story is: be kind to your friends and they will never forget you.

THE WOODEN HORSE

This book is based on part of a poem called The Iliad. It was composed by a Greek poet named Homer, who lived around 800 B.C.
It tells the story of a great war between Greece and Troy, a city in the country now known as Turkey.
